Johanna Quaas: Guinness World Record: Oldest Gymnast of the World

GuinnessEnjoy this moment of movement motivation and inspiration!  If you’ve been considering new recreational sports, but think that perhaps you’ve waited too long in life and you’re too old to participate, check out this video clip of gymnast Johanna Quaas who currently holds the Guinness World Record as the oldest gymnast in the world! 

Born in 1925, 86 year-old Johanna Quaas from Germany is an 11-times German Senior champion of artistic gymnastics.  She began her gymnastics training in her fifties, and participated in her first competition at the age of fifty-six.

She hopes that by being included in the Guinness Book of World Records that she’ll inspire others to realize that it’s never too late.

Also included in this video clip is inspiration from Britian’s Sharran Alexander, the world’s Heaviest Sportswoman.
